Silhouettes more detailed, Georgian Europe

These are three silhouettes of the king character, I have given these silhouettes more detail to show the differences in the style of clothing. I like the shape of these three designs.  When it comes to my final design I may have to take some details from these silhouettes and incorporate them in my final. 

Silhouettes, Georgian Europe

Here are some rough basic silhouettes designs for the character piece. In the story "Tinderbox" there are not that many characters based in the story as it is very short. While I read the story the character that I was most interested in was the king. I find that I could have many design ideas with the king character, such as fashion and hairstyles.

Timepiece staff silhouettes, Iterations

These are some Silhouettes that I have created, there are 15 in total. I drew some designs on top of the silhouettes. I wanted to give the staffs various designs, some from more natural looking forms to industrial structures. The staff designs that I like the best are: number 1, number 5, number 6, number 11 and number 12. I think these staffs I will give colour and give more attention to.

Timepiece silhouettes

After not having much luck with some other designs for timepieces, I thought of a weapon, a staff that can pause time. I am thinking that the staff is a  legendary weapon and only a god like mage can process it's power. I like the idea of sand, Maybe a sand ball that rotates in the staff could be placed within my designs, and this is what causes time to stand still. Here are a few different designs that I came up with. I have looked at differences in height also.

Insect sihouettes and iteration designs

Both of these silhouettes pieces have been created using Photoshop. I believe my silhouette designs are forming into a beetle insect because it looks like my designs are very bulky and shell like insects with horn features. I have drew a silhouette that is based on a beetle and then I copied it and each time I have added different features to each of my designs.

Alchemy silhouettes

The two designs shown here have been created using a programme called Alchemy. The mirror tool has been used on both of my designs , from the two designs you can visualize different shapes that can create a few silhouettes of insects.

Insect leg iteration designs

These designs are my own creations of different styles for insect legs. I used the same method of using a silhouette and then drawing on top of the silhouette to form an arrangement of styles. The design that I most like is 4th drawing on the right, that design reminds me of a beetle. It looks like the insect leg is more powerful and heavier than the other designs, the concept of a powerful insect is appealing to me.

These are some quick sketches from a few silhouettes that I had created. I  used a simple digital black line brush and drew over the silhouettes and formed the insect designs.
