My Final pieces, Timepiece

(The Timepiece in final form, with solid colour background)

(The timepiece with my Mage character)

(Timepiece displayed in photo bashing piece)

These are my final pieces for the timepiece project. I added my final staff design with my Mage character. I have also done my first photo bashing piece and have displayed my final staff into the  environment piece. I drew black line around the hand of the character as I wanted to give the piece the same likeness in style similar to my final staff piece. I am happy with the outcome of these pieces, especially the photo bashing piece as I am pleased with my first attempt at the technique, I would like to do this practice again and try to improve at photo bashing.

Research imagery, timepiece final

These two images are from the video game "Skyrim" I am posting these two images from the game because for one of my final ideas for the timepiece project I want to do my very first photo bashing background piece for one of my final piece ideas. I plan to photo bash the environment piece image and make it my own, then place the fist of the hand from the other image into my photo bashed environment piece. I will then place my final staff design onto the hand. I wanted to experiment with this idea, I wish to create a sense of my own fantasy  first-person image using my staff design as the chosen weapon.

Timepiece Model sheet

This is my timepiece model sheet. I have produced a front view drawing, a side view drawing, a more detailed close top view drawing of the glass globe and finally a detailed close bottom view of the staff. I added more detail to the close up views as when it comes to 3D modelling a object you need to be able to see and add the details to the final model.

Final timepiece design, Staff

Here is my final timepiece design. The staff is coloured gold. The staff material is gold with a glass sand globe on top. The globe hold the power to pause time. The mechanism surrounding the globe makes the globe rotate, this then make movement inside the globe causing the sand to swirl inside, this activates the power of the staff and produces the white light energy aura.

Mage Holding staffs

I wanted to represent the staffs with a character, I don't want the character to be the main focus but I wanted her to display with the staffs. The Mage character is a powerful god like Mage, she holds the power to the legendary staff of time. The Mage character is one of my final pieces, when the project is near completion I will add my final staff design with this Mage character.

(This image of a old male Mage is a reference image for the pose of my character design, The clothes and design of my Mage character is all from my creation, no references)

Staff's Coloured designs

These are my 5 staff designs that I have coloured as I find that I prefer them out of the other designs I have done. The staff that I will continue to finalise is the staff with the background and added aura. I will add auras to the other staff deigns as I want to show how each staff has it's own aura and how it presents it's power and light energy.

Timepiece staff silhouettes, Iterations

These are some Silhouettes that I have created, there are 15 in total. I drew some designs on top of the silhouettes. I wanted to give the staffs various designs, some from more natural looking forms to industrial structures. The staff designs that I like the best are: number 1, number 5, number 6, number 11 and number 12. I think these staffs I will give colour and give more attention to.

Research Timepiece, Staffs, sand globes

I am Feeling happy with my chosen idea that is a time staff, I have found some reference imagery that I quite like and that is close to my idea.

(I remember playing this game "Prince of Persia sand of time" awhile back, The sand of time dagger that the character uses in the game is a similar concept to the staff idea that I have.

Timepiece silhouettes

After not having much luck with some other designs for timepieces, I thought of a weapon, a staff that can pause time. I am thinking that the staff is a  legendary weapon and only a god like mage can process it's power. I like the idea of sand, Maybe a sand ball that rotates in the staff could be placed within my designs, and this is what causes time to stand still. Here are a few different designs that I came up with. I have looked at differences in height also.

Timepiece Silhouettes

Very rough silhouettes ideas, looking at different shapes and forms.
